About the sport: The Blue Devil Boy's basketball team is one of the most successful high school athletic programs in Washington State. Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st century the boy's basketball teams have participated in district, regional, and state playoffs. Most recently the Blue Devil's won the state championship in 1999 and made trips to the state tournament in 2003 and again in 2004. Last year, the Blue Devil boy's finished 2nd in league and 4th in district. The Devils went on to play in the regional tournmament losing in the quarter finals. Coach John Golden is in his 4th year as the Blue Devil coach and he promises to bring another exciting year of basketball to the Walla Walla faithful.

Coaches Comment: The boy's basketball team has played well the last two weeks and has put itself into a position to play for a berth into next week's Class 4-A state tournament in Tacoma. On Friday night, February 27, the Blue Devils take on the Lewis and Clark Panthers from Spokane at 9PM in the Toyota Center in Kennewick. Both teams have similar records and have been playing well at the end of the season. The last time the Blue Devil boys went to state was 2004. We are anxious to return. Hope to see you on Friday night......
