About the sport: Track originated in Athens...And now it's taken over the Big 9 Conference the last years! Since 1999 the girls team has finished no lower than 3rd! They finished 2nd in 2004 & 2007! The boys have DOMINATED the league. They have won 5 League Titles and 1 District League Title since 1998 and have finished 2nd the other 3 years. They have only lost 3 matches since 1998 and without question has become the Best Boys Program at Wa-Hi. With over 160 kids turning out every year, 18 events to choose from, and a winning tradition that is second to none, why not join Blue Devil Track & Field and continue on the tradition! |

Coaches Comment: Boys finish 5th at State Meet! Led by Aaron Mettler as the State Champion in the Javelin. Andrew Battenberg was 5th in the 400, 3rd in the 200, Adam Neace was 4th in the Pole Vault! Great Job Guys!! Shanie Bushman was 3rd in the Pole Vault for the girls and Ashlee Wall was 10th in the 3200m! Aaron Metter in the Javelin, Andrew Battenberg in the 400 and Ashlee Wall in the 1600m were selected to compete in the Washington vs Oregon meet of Champions this weekend in Seattle. Only 4 athlete from each state are allowed to compete in each event. What a great honor for these 3 athletes!! |

Sport News: Girls Track T-Shirts are IN!!! Come to Coach Hisaw's office to get them! Get them before school's out! Coach Hisaw is willing to put in a second order of shirts if others would like them, just contact him with your size. T-Shirts cost $25 each. Also Coach Hisaw has the track picture dvd's as well. Come get yours with over 400 pictures throughout the 2007 season! |
