Athletic News Athletic Packets Available Now At Wa-Hi August 10th Evening Fall Sports Registration SAVE TIME IN LINE! Sports Fees and ASB can now be paid in the Wa-Hi main office with Mrs. Morasch.

About the sport: The philosophy of the Blue Devil Softball Program is: * Create an atmosphere which allows our athletes to take risks to succeed. * Develop fundamentally sound and strategically aware athletes. * Prepare athletes physically, mentally and emotionally for the demands of high level competition. * Be successful both on the practice and game field and, more importantly, in preparing our athletes to meet the demands of life.

 

Coaches Comment: Head Coach Jerry Humphreys is in his 10th season with the Blue Devils. Over this time the Blue Devils have been to the District and Regional Tournaments 7 times and competed at the State Tournament in 2007 & 2009 -- finishing 3rd in 2009. Over this time the Blue Devils have compiled a conference record of 106 wins to 52 losses, 149 wins and 84 losses overall. The Softball program coaching staff includes the following key coaches: Arch McHie -- Varsity Coach, Jessica Rusch -- JV Coach, Gina Eggers -- FR Coach, Kristin Gehrett -- FR Coach, Carol Peterson -- Varsity Assistant, Stephanie Mayer -- Scorekeeper

Training Information: After going 68-3 as a program last year, the Blue Devil's are ready to attack a new season. The Varsity and JV teams travel to Pendleton March 16 to kick off the season. There have been some JV/Freshman schedule changes already as several Big9 schools won't have FR teams this year. Check the WaHi Athletic's web site for the latest information.
